The police video you see is addressed in Chapter 1 of Volume II, which should be released in about 60 days, just before the city council election. I spent 10 pages asking penetrating questions about the city's (both code enforcement and the police department) intent, purpose, and procedures. What I discovered is that the police department did not comply with their own policies and procedures; that city leaders at the highest level conspired to concoct a story to cover their unconstitutional search, in violation of the Fourth Amendment.
Upon arrival the police told the maintenance man that there was a report of two intruders inside the hotel, which was their illegal and unconstitutional excuse for the search. Since when does the city's head code enforcer, Michael Brackeen, accompany the police on an intruder call, which is what happened here? Additionally, the only records the police could provide me mentioned nothing about intruders. Much more to come in 60 days or so.
