Ordinance 4159-A, which was approved by the city council in 2022, states, in part, '"Members shall refrain from abusive conduct, personal charges or verbal attacks upon the character or motives of other members of Council, boards and commissions, the staff or public." While that is all good, it's unconstitutional. The attachment "sent from CC copier" is the city attorney's response to my question as to whether the city can censor anyone. The attachment "response to city attorney" is my letter to the city attorney making seven points as to why it is unconstitutional and also provides several U.S. Supreme Court and other judicial decisions saying the same thing.
On a separate topic, the Muskogee Police Department, on Aug. 9, 2023, conducted what I believe to be an unconstitutional search of a boarded-up hotel at 800 S. 32nd St. When the police arrived (five cars) the maintenance man was informed that there was a report of two intruders inside the hotel. However, for the police to get inside they had to remove about 20 bolts that held three layers of sheet metal into place over every entryway. The attachment "Teehee" is a letter to the Muskogee Chief of Police asking questions about this search and "Teehee executive summary" is just that, a summary of everything that happened including what I was able, and not able, to obtain through an Open Records Act request.
